Privacy Policy - Tracker 9Lives
1. Information We Collect
Account and Authentication
- Anonymous Firebase authentication: an anonymous identifier is generated only when you use the vet map or enable photo backup.
- We do not request or store your name, email or any other contact information.
Your Cat's Information
- Profiles of your cats (name, breed, date of birth, photo).
- Daily activity logs and the Play, Food and Love rings.
- Completed daily quests.
- Health symptoms, alerts and weight history.
- Medications and medical documents in the medicine cabinet.
- Photos of your cat and evolution comparisons.
- Vets saved on the map.
Local Storage (SwiftData & AppStorage)
- All of your cats' data is stored on your device via SwiftData.
- Photos and medical documents are stored as files inside the app's folder.
- Preferences (theme, appearance, iCloud sync, backup preference) are stored in AppStorage (UserDefaults).
- If you enable iCloud, SwiftData replicates your data to your private iCloud account via CloudKit.
Location and Non-Personal Information
- Location: used only to show nearby vets on the map and to validate clinics by proximity. It is not shared or stored for tracking purposes.
- Technical device data required for the app to work correctly.
Advertising
Tracker 9Lives does not display ads or use advertising networks.
Subscriptions
The Premium subscription is managed through RevenueCat. We only process subscription status (active or not); payment data is handled directly by Apple.
2. Use of Information
- Display and organize your cats' profiles, health and photos.
- Calculate the activity rings, daily quests and health alerts.
- Show nearby vets and let you validate them with the community.
- Back up your photos to the cloud and sync across devices, only if you enable it.
- Manage your Premium subscription.
3. Sharing Information
We do not sell personal data. We only use the following services:
- Firebase Authentication (anonymous identifier)
- Firebase Firestore (community vet map)
- Firebase Storage (photo backup, only if you enable it)
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit (sync, only if you enable it)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
The vets you add to the map are visible to other community users. The rest of your cat's data is never shared.
4. User Rights
- Access, edit and delete your cats' data directly in the app.
- Delete photos, records and individual profiles at any time.
- Disable iCloud sync and photo backup whenever you want.
- Request deletion of data backed up on our servers.
5. Children's Privacy
Tracker 9Lives is not intended for children under 13 and does not intentionally collect data from minors without parental consent.
6. Security
Your data is stored primarily on your device. iCloud sync uses your private Apple account and photo backup is stored in a folder associated with your anonymous identifier. We apply technical and organizational measures to protect information uploaded to the cloud.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating this page.
